So earlier Sun network was just having channels from South Indian languages like Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. But recently Sun network expanded its service by launching Sun Bangla channel which is a general entertainment channel in Bengali language. Now Sun network also started testing of its Sun Marathi channel which is also a entertainment channel in Marathi language.
As we all know Odia TV market is in growing state right now. Just before few year Zee network already made an entry to the Odisha TV industry with 2 channels Zee Sarthak (Acquired) and Zee Odisha. And recently Star network also shown interest towards Odia TV market and going to launch its 1st Oriya channel Star Kirano very soon. TV18 already have its 2 channels Colors Odia and News 18 Odia. ETV network also coming soon with ETV Balyabharat Odia channel soon. So hopefully the same will happen for Sun network also. As of now Sun network is also busy to expand its regional reach with various language channels. So it could be a great chance for Sun network to make an entry to the Odia TV industry.
