India’s first ever DTH service provider Dish TV has added Sports 18 1 Indian sports TV channel in SD Version on its platform. Recently before couple of days Dish TV added the high definition format of the sports channel to it’s platform as Sports 18 1 HD on channel number 643. But still there were a lot of request from the users who are using only standard definition set top box to watch the channels on Dish TV to add Sports 18 1 SD channel. They were unable to watch the programs from the channel as the standard definition format was not available on the platform.
After all request Dish TV now added Sports 18 1 SD channel standard definition version to its platform for the subscribers. The channel has been added to channel number 667. The price of both standard version and high definition version of the channel are same. If you want to watch the channel you have to pay 12 rupees for month which is excluding tax. If you are a high definition subscriber of Dish TV then I will suggest you must go with the high definition version. Because you are going to pay the same price for the standard definition channel as well as the same price for the high definition channel also.

In future we may expect some more sports channels by the name of sports 18 on our TV screen. The upcoming TV channels by the name of sports 18 which might come in future are sports 18 Hindi, sports 18 2, sports 18 Tamil etc.
