Doordarshan, also known as DD, operates a number of television channels in India, including both national and regional channels. The exact number of channels may vary over time, as the network is known to periodically add or discontinue channels.
Doordarshan operates the following national channels:
- DD National: A general entertainment channel that broadcasts a range of programs, including news, dramas, movies, and more.
- DD News: A 24-hour news channel that provides up-to-date information and news coverage from India and around the world.
- DD Sports: A sports channel that broadcasts live sporting events and sports-related programming.
In addition to these national channels, Doordarshan also operates a number of regional channels that serve specific states or regions of India. These regional channels provide local programming, news, and other content in the local language. The exact number of regional channels may vary, but at the time of my training, Doordarshan operated over 20 regional channels.
