Australia Women emerged victorious over South Africa Women in the final of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 held at Newlands, Cape Town. The match saw Australia Women bat first and score a total of 156 runs for six wickets in 20 overs. Alyssa Healy and Ashleigh Gardner made solid contributions, scoring 18 and 29 runs, respectively. Beth Mooney was the top scorer with an unbeaten 74 runs, while Marizanne Kapp and Shabnim Ismail claimed two wickets each for South Africa Women.

In reply, South Africa Women were restricted to 137 runs for six wickets in 20 overs. Laura Wolvaardt was the top scorer for South Africa Women with 61 runs. Megan Schutt and Darcie Brown claimed one wicket each in their respective spells for Australia Women.

Australia Women won the match by 19 runs, thus clinching the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 title. The victory was significant as it marked their fifth T20 World Cup triumph.
