57 New TV Channels Soon on DD Free Dish

DD Free Dish, India’s popular direct-to-home (DTH) service, conducted its 67th e-auction and as on March 21, 2023, for MPEG-2 slots the result is here for you. The e-auction was organized by Prasar Bharati, India’s public broadcaster, and was aimed at offering additional channels to the Indian audience at an affordable price. The e-auction saw a total of 57 channels win slots across four bouquets, which were classified as A+, A, B, and C.

Bouquet A+ saw 12 channels win slots, with Dangal TV being the highest bidder at ₹ 17.60 crore. Other channels that won slots in this bouquet include Shemaroo TV, Big Magic, Nazara, and Manoranjan TV, among others.

Bouquet A saw 13 channels win slots, with Zee Anmol Cinema being the highest bidder at ₹ 24.05 crore. Other channels that won slots in this bouquet include Star Gold Thrill, Sony Wah, and B4U Movies, among others.

Bouquet B saw 14 channels win slots, with Zee Biskope being the highest bidder at ₹ 21.20 crore. Other channels that won slots in this bouquet include Sports18 Khel, MTV Beats, and Dil Se, among others.

Bouquet C saw 9 channels win slots, with News18 India being the highest bidder at ₹ 19.85 crore. Other channels that won slots in this bouquet include Zee News, Republic Bharat, and Aaj Tak, among others.

Bouquet D saw 9 channels win slots, with Zee Punjabi being the highest bidder at ₹ 12.45 crore. Other channels that won slots in this bouquet include Sanskar TV, Shemaroo Ashirwad, and Aastha Channel, among others.

The e-auction is a significant opportunity for broadcasters to reach a wider audience in India, especially in the rural areas, where DD Free Dish is a popular DTH service due to its affordability.
